We are the Conservative group on Bromley Council. We hold 35 of the 58 seats on the Council and are the largest group so form the administration which runs the Council – delivering key services for local people. 

 

Councillor Colin Smith is Leader of Bromley Council, and of the Conservative Group. 

 

Borough Councils in London are responsible for a number of services, including:

 

  • Housing and planning applications
  • Adult social care
  • Libraries and leisure
  • Waste collection and management
  • Licensing
  • Parks and open spaces
  • Roads (except TfL roads) and parking enforcement

 

The Conservative administration in Bromley, which has run the Council since 2001, was re-elected for another four-year term in May 2022.
